Writing something about yourself is more difficult than it should be. Therefore, if I miss anything you want to know, please ask me.
My name is Karen. If there is something I don't know how to do, I google tutorials or read a DIY book about it. This includes anything from power tools, electrical and plumbing...all the way to knitting and now blogging (still a work in progress).
My favorite color changes all the time (which will explain why I repaint rooms faster than the paint dries). My favorite season is all of them except for the one that brings snow. My favorite holiday is Halloween. I have a weird sense of humor and love to try to make my friends on facebook laugh with odd status updates. I'm the zany class clown that never grew up.
These are the four projects I'm most proud of making. :) This was their first day of school 2011.
When I retire, I know I'll have a perfect garden. Until then, I try to make my little yard look pretty. However, don't look too closely...there are weeds in the flower beds.
I love to travel and take roadtrips frequently. Any town within a five hour drive is a favorite of mine. Especially this little gem....Nashville.
I married the best man in the world, who just happens to be my best friend. He lets me do pretty much whatever I dream up for the house. The only time he participates is when there is demo involved.
I've traveled all over the country to see my favorite band. I try to go see as many movies, concerts and musicals as humanly possible. And if there is a Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Arrested Development or Ab Fab marathon on TV, you won't see me until it is finished.
I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO.
So, in case you are wondering...I love baseball and beer.
(Opening Day - 2011)
We have an overprotective watch dog.
If you ever try to walk down Quaint Cottage Drive, you will hear him barking at you.
For some reason little Max the Morkie hates the UPS man and anything the UPS man brings to the house.
Some girls like to shop for clothes and shoes...I love to buy powertools, browse the hardware stores and thrift stores.
And I love to cook and bake, especially when the weather turns chilly.
I like to think I'm a professional photographer...with my iphone.
So...now you know how I spend my days when I don't have my face stuffed into a book. And if that didn't keep me busy enough, I work full-time in real estate management. Whew...I need a vacation.
I hope I didn't bore you. Stop by and introduce yourself.
